What is a Periodontist?
A periodontist is a dentist who specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal disease, and in the placement of dental implants. Periodontists are also experts in the treatment of oral inflammation. Periodontists receive extensive training in these areas, including three additional years of education beyond dental school. They are familiar with the latest techniques for diagnosing and treating periodontal disease, and are also trained in performing cosmetic periodontal procedures. Are you accepting new patients?
Yes, please call us at (603) 668-6434 to schedule a new patient exam.

Do I need a referral?
Although most of our patients are referred from their general dentist, a referral is not necessary.

Do I need to fill out any forms?
You should receive a packet of information in the mail approximately 1-2 weeks prior to your appointment containing a medical questionnaire, insurance form, and our privacy practice forms.  Please plan to arrive a few minutes early with your completed and signed forms.  If you have not received the packet in the mail prior to your first appointment, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment.

Do you accept dental insurance?
We are happy to assist you in submitting your dental claim, but any portion not covered by the insurance company is the patient’s responsibility. Please see our “Financial Information” page for further information.

What will happen on my first visit?
After reviewing your medical history, Dr. Fremeau will complete a thorough periodontal exam as well as a head & neck exam and oral cancer screening.   Dr. Fremeau will then discuss his findings and treatment options with you. We encourage you to ask any questions or concerns that you may have.   We will work closely with your general dentist to ensure that you receive the best care possible.

Will I need x-rays?
We will contact your general dentist for any recent x-rays.  The need for additional x-rays or further diagnostic information is determined on an individual need basis.

Where is your office located?
We are located at 30 Canton Street, Suite #12, Manchester, NH.  Please see our Directions page for further information.
